Sea fishing conditions in Namibia is reliant on the tide table, weather conditions and several other factors.
Please keep in mind that we cannot predict the condition the day of your trip but our guides would usually have enough experience to help you find the desired fish.
Land base Fishing: We usually fish from sandy beaches with 13ft graphite rods equipped with good casting reels. If you are not able to cast it would be done by your guide. We supply the tackle (swivels, hooks, sinkers etc.) and fresh bait to target the species of fish that you would like to catch. The day starts early in the morning when you will be picked up from your accommodation. During the day you we will cater for your beverages and dietary needs. After completing you're day we will clean your fish if your planning to take the fish home. You would be transported back to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Should you feel that you want to enjoy the wonderful night live of Swakopmund we could assist in doing restaurant bookings or recommend where you should go.
Offshore Angling: Our offshore trips are usually with a ski-boat launched from the Swakopmund Mole or Mile 17. These launch sites are easy reachable. You would be picked up from your accommodation and transport to the launch area. All the necessary tackle and equipment will be supplied. We belief in safety as the most important aspect of the trip and comply with all the safety standards specified by the Sea Rescue Institute of Namibia. The day starts early in the morning when you will be picked up from your accommodation. During the day you we will cater for your beverages and dietary needs. After completing you're day we will clean your fish if your planning to take the fish home. You would be transported back to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Should you feel that you want to enjoy the wonderful night live of Swakopmund we could assist in doing restaurant bookings or recommend where you should enjoy your evening.
Tips for visiting
When fishing in Namibia you need to wear sun screen to protect you from the sun. Any strong sun screen with a Sun Protection Factor of 30 or higher is recommended.
Warm clothing for the colder days is recommended. A windbreaker will suffice but any warm clothing will do.
Polaroid sunglasses or any good pair of not to expensive sunglass will help protect your eyes against the sun and glare on the water.
Plan your trip well in advance. This will enable us to best assist you with your dietary needs as well as planning any additional requests by you.
When doing offshore angling you might need to take medication for sea sickness. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist about this.
